Abstrak

Paparan radiasi ultraviolet (UV) memerlukan pengembangan formulasi tabir surya yang tidak hanya efektif secara fotoprotektif tetapi juga stabil dan aman bagi kulit. Meskipun benzophenone-4 (BZP-4) dan octocrylene (OCT) banyak digunakan sebagai filter UV kimia, studi terkait stabilitas fisik dan iritasi mengenai optimasi formulasi kombinasi keduanya dalam sediaan lotion masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan optimasi formulasi, stabilitas fisik dan uji iritasi lotion tabir surya kombinasi BZP-4 dan OCT. Lima formula dikembangkan dengan variasi konsentrasi tunggal dan kombinasi (1–5%). Evaluasi sediaan meliputi uji organoleptik, pH, viskositas, daya sebar, daya lekat, tipe emulsi, stabilitas fisik menggunakan uji sentrifugasi dan cycling test selama 6 siklus, uji iritasi berbasis metode alternatif non-hewan menggunakan Hen’s Egg Test–Chorioallantoic Membrane (HET-CAM). Analisis statistik dilakukan menggunakan paired t-test untuk membandingkan parameter sebelum dan sesudah uji stabilitas fisik. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa formula kombinasi BZP-4 1% dan OCT 1% memberikan karakteristik fisik optimal (pH 6,44; viskositas 2793 cP), stabil terhadap uji sentrifugasi dan cycling test (p>0,05), serta tidak menimbulkan iritasi (skor HET-CAM 0,98±0,04). Sebaliknya, formula tunggal maupun konsentrasi tinggi menunjukkan iritasi sedang hingga kuat. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi ilmiah sediaan lotion kombinasi BZP-4 1% dan OCT 1% memiliki stabilitas fisik yang baik serta tidak menimbulkan iritasi.
